Do you wonder what we do with the funds that you so generously donate? Not to worry, we stretch your dollar to the max and make efficient use of the funds for our various programs and activities!  Last school year, the FCM PTSA….

  1. 1.  Sent 7 teachers for IB training - that in itself is a worthwhile investment that pays for itself when you see the quality of education that our children are receiving at FCM.

  1. 2.  Sponsored one FCM student who received a $500 scholarship for the   College Tour Institute sponsored by Dr. Feldman’s office.

  2. 3.  Sponsored Teacher Appreciation Week... We basically spoiled our 90 teachers with massage therapy, a fabulous breakfast prepared by our PTA and Administration, provided a gourmet luncheon and had a chocolate dessert party. We did all this on a shoe string budget.  We pooled our collective talents and got it done.

  3. 4.  Contributed funds towards the Pre-K, Kindergarten, 5th grade and 8th grade celebrations.

  4. 5.  Sponsored Reading Under the Stars to promote reading literacy and had a Magic Show that the audience enjoyed tremendously.

  5. 6.  Sponsored a Staff Appreciation Luncheon for 50 school staff, administrators, and support personnel.

  6. 7.  Contributed funds for the Volunteer Breakfast... This event was well attended with over 70 volunteers and it was all planned by our teachers!

  7. 8.  Funded the Media Center with a grant of $993.80 to purchase books and miscellaneous supplies.

  8. 9.  Gave away $10,000 in classroom grants that put school supplies and curriculum enhancements in the hands of our students.

  9. 10. Sponsored worthwhile programs such as Career Day, Ethnic and Heritage Events, Fairchild Challenge, Math Bowl, Father/Daughter Dance, Grandparents’ Breakfast, International Fair, Reflections and the Drama Club’s production of “Sound of Music.”

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for your continued support and for your generosity to our students and teachers!
